Hi, I imported the construction demo but some stylings kept, no matter I used CSS or other laborator options... here they are:
1. I add the css (.main-footer .footer-widgets) to change top and bottom padding/margin both to 0, but the footer is still weirdly big?
2. Tried "Theme Options/theme styling" to change the footer background color to a lighter grey...I changed it but the the footer section kept the dark color...?!
3. There is a grey layer on the bottom of the footer.. no idea where is that from? the Footer Widgets is turned Hide already...
This is a customization question and support doesn't offer customization services as we wrote on our support homepage and on this area. I will try to help you this time though

1. The original question 3, grey layer turned into white...and if I applied this code to CSS..the white layer became bigger, so I removed the code for now. The white layer is very strange, cause it shows everywhere but homepage and this page...?!
2. This is so strange too.., I went to Theme: (style.css) and changed: "/* Footer: Footer Background Color*/" and even /* Footer: Footer Bottom Background Color */ to #f2f3ec, but the footer color keeps the same? Anything I missed?

4. I tried to change /* Footer: Font color */ on Theme: (style.css) ... but just like the footer background color... no change happened.

And for 1, please see the attached image. Take this page as an example, when you scroll down to the bottom there is a white bar below the footer section. It appears everywhere except the homepage .

Please just add this CSS code to your Custom CSS area:
.site-footer.footer-bottom-vertical .footer-bottom .footer-bottom-content {also a ot of that space is coming from your image:padding-top: 0px;
padding-bottom: 0px;
}

2— To make the Construction demo more special we have added some CSS codes in its styles.css file. You can change the color in this area (see video).

That happens only when you are logged in in your Wordpress, when you log-out you will not see that bottom line.
