    Will be bothering you with questions this week as I am building the website for a client:

    1 - Do you have a version in Spanish? Or how can I translate the template options to Spanish?

    2 - When visiting this website, https://hut-falkenhagen.de/, which option are they using from VC (Visual Composer) to get this? (Image 1 attached)

    I tried using the Wocommerce Carrousel from VC but it crashes and have to manually remove it via code to get the website back and running.  Not really sure how to get a carrousel like this on my client´s website.

    3 - I have set a page as Homepage…do you know how I can remove this gray line/border? Doesn´t look good with the slider revolution slider running there. (Image 2)

    4 - Do you know how I can achieve this zoom effect that they have when hovering over the images? (Image 3)

    5 - Do you know an easy way to have Woocomerce in Spanish?

    6 - How do they get that Home icon in the Top Menu? I´d like to have something like that! (Image 4)

    7 - You probably remember I mentioned I´d need help to setup 4 flags  (one for each country)…I´d like to have the flags somewhere next to the Home Icon.

    You mentioned you could help me with this…Can you help me? Don´t really know how to get that done so waiting for your help :)

    Will be probably bothering you this week and the next with some questions while I fine tune everything :)

    Thanks for your help in advanced!!

    Hi Nico,

    1— I'm sorry but we don't offer any other language beside the English version.

    If you change your Wordpress language to Spanish, a lot of WooCommerce strings will be translated automatically.

    Then to translate theme strings, you can do this via Loco Translate plugin. If you don't have this plugin, please install and activate it in your WordPress site.

    1. Then go to Loco Translate > Manage Translations

    2. Click "New Language" for the current active theme (if you didn't created it yet, otherwise ignore this step). On the new language page, choose these options – click here http://d.pr/119ES

    3. After that you will be redirected to the editing screen for theme translations. Before you continue with your translations make sure the current language of your site is selected – click here http://d.pr/i/18h0w

    4. Follow these instructions to learn how to translate strings – http://d.pr/i/1jsek

    5. The changes will be applied immediately – http://d.pr/i/1ju6w

    Note: Translation files will be saved to wp-content/themes/{theme-name}/languages folder or global directory of theme translations: wp-content/languages/themes/ (based on your choice).

    If you have saved your translations inside theme folder, always save a backup of *languages/* folder (inside the theme) when there is new theme update. After you update the theme (languages folder will be replaced with an empty folder), just move the backup files you previously saved to the same languages directory and your changes will still be applied.

    2— I think that they are using Layer Slider plugin for the slider on top, and our Visual Composer elements such as Products, Product Carousel, Blog Posts etc

    (view on new page)

    3— Can you please write URL of this exact page please? I need to investigate your site and then get back to you if we have possible solution.

    4— That can be achieved if you use Image Banner (Visual Composer element).

    5— I mentioned this on the First question.

    6— You can do that easily, here is a mini tutorial that will teach you how to achieve that http://drops.laborator.co/ULzt

    7— I will work on this later as I need much more work to do here.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi Art,

    Thanks for your help.

    Let´s focus now on the first item: translating my website to Spanish as I am having problems with that.

    1 - I already changed my Wordpress default language to Spanish as you can check in image 1.  It did change some words but many other words are still in plain English on the template.

    2 - For instance on Image 2, where it says "View Cart" I need it to say "Ver Carrito" . I don't know how to change that text.

    3 - On Image 3, which is the checkout form, I need to change all the sentences/words where there's an arrow  to different words/sentences in Spanish. Can you help me achieve this?

    4 - Same thing with image 4.

    I installed Loco Translate but A - If I have my website's language in Spanish, when I try to make the translations from the Spanish file there, it doesn't work. B - If I don't change my website's language to Spanish and leave it as default English, changing some phrases with Loco Translate works in some cases but in others not.

    Need some help with this. Can't find a workaround yet.

    Thanks!

    Nico

    Hi Nico,

    These words are theme strings and need to be translated, that's why when you switched the site it didn't translate them.

    Please follow the instructions in this screenshot and translate the words that show in english, if you are having problems translating your site please provide us your login credentials, we need these too because of the language switcher.

    Can you please share your site credentials here, because we need to login to your site and see this issue live. Your information is safe (private) in this thread.

    To include your credentials click Insert Credentials button in editor toolbar. (See how)

    Hi Nico,

    I managed to translate almost all of the strings you posted here, except the View Cart, it was a problem with the theme so I had  to re-sync the translations and it seems that some of the translations are lost now but the good news is that it's working now.

    In your last reply I can't see the images categorias.jpg and categorias2.jpg

    Hi Art,

    Thank you so much for your help.  How were you able to do this? I am asking to not bother you later on. Remember, I will be making 3 more new installs of wordpress for this website. Or if it doesn´t bother you, I´ll ask you for help translating those as well since I wasn´t able to do it on my own.

    Comments:

    1 - http://lucatmi.com/cart/ I still see the expression "Update Cart" and it should be "Actualizar".

    2 -  In carritoheader.jpg still says "View Cart" instead of "Ver Carrito". Is is possible to change it?

    3 - In http://lucatmi.com/checkout/, still see "Your Order" instead of "Tu orden".

    4 - I attach again the files categorias.jpg and categorias2.jpg, Let me know if you got them right this time :)

    Thank You so much for your help!

    Hi Nicolas,

    There isn't any hint at all, I just clicked on the Sync button in Loco Translate and after that started translating the words again, it worked after that.

    1.  Fixed this.

    2 and 3. Fixed them by adding the WPIDE plugin and replaced a core translation code.

    4. Unfortunately, there are no images attached in your ticket, are you attaching the image through this button:

    Hey Art,

    The admin interface and the website is runing extremely slow. It was running smoothly till Friday. Any ideas why this is happening? Maybe some of the plugins you installed is causing this? I am going to contact Hostgator in the meanwhile to see how they can help with this...

    Thanks,

    Hi Nico,

    I managed to translate the word you highlighted on your screenshot, regarding the sorting of products and that dropdown - that's under WooCommerce and it seems a little bit complicated to do that manually, please read this:

    https://www.speakinginbytes.com/2016/05/customize-woocommerce-sorting-dropdown/

    The site speed may be slow for a couple of reasons and mainly the plugins or hosting is the main reason, I disabled and deleted the WPIDE plugin, which helped me make a change in your site.

    Also there are some plugins that are unnecessary (Thrive Visual Editor), and the WP Super Cache needs to be configured or otherwise it may be a problem for your site and make it even slower.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hey Art,

    Thanks for your help. Thrive Content is the one I use to build the layout...similar to visual composer but much better/easier for me.

    Customer requires me to add a section where the customer can filter all the products...So I downloaded this wordpress plugin (below) but I am not able to make this work. Don't know what's missing or what I am doing wrong? Basically, if you check my main menu, after "Destacados",  I need a new product category called "Buscador" where people can filter the products bases on the price range, tags, the categories and the attributes that I define like color, size, etc. So you should be able to narrow down and filter easily ALL the products in the store.

    Don't know what I am doing wrong but still don't get how to get this done.

    Thanks!

    Another question Art...do you know how can I get flags in the top header? Basically, they will have 4 countries:

    Argentina  = www.lucatmi.com

    Chile = chile.lucatmi.com

    Peru = peru.lucatmi.com

    Uuruguay = uruguay.lucatmi.com

    And they want to have a flag for each...obviously, they want to be redirected to each country´s corresponding url when the user clicks on the flag....They want the flags in the header...Do you know of any plugin to achieve this easily? I looked in the WP plugin database but couldn´t find one that had all these 4 flags or that worked properly...

    This should be pretty easy for you if you use a plugin to get this done already...

    Thanks!

    Also, when I am browsing the website as a visitor (not logged in as admin), there are some things we need to remove or translate as well...I attach the images for http://lucatmi.com/cart/ and http://lucatmi.com/checkout/

    Hi Nico,

    — Yes, but only Visual Composer is a supported plugin and we do not give support for third party plugins which are not promoted in our item page.

    — Added your flags in the menu, this is the only way they could show up as I tried also different methods but it didn't work

    — I translated the Shopping Cart to Carrito de Compras through Loco Translate and you can continue with the others as there is no problem with the translation now, go to Loco Translate > Oxygen > Spanish search for the word you need to translate and click Save to save all changes.

    Best regards,

    One additional small question...guess I can change this by looking at the CSS file and looking for the font size...but since I am not a coder, I don´t want to put my hands there before asking you.

    Basically, in the main menu and the top menu (both), I´d like to know how to decrease/increase the font size so I can have more space there and add more options in the same line. Where should I be looking in the CSS file to change these 2 font sizes?

    Thanks for your help mate!

    Hi Nico,

    Paste the following CSS in the Custom CSS area and it will decrease the font size on the menu:

    .nav {
        font-size: 13px !important;
    }
