2 - Then I want to show those categories in the home page, just like you can see in the Agency DEMO but with categories previews instead of the single portfolio items.
At least is it possible to recreate the same hovering effect of the home page's single portfolio items preview images without using the Portfolio Items VC block?
This way I could use simple images in the home page instead of the portfolio items.
I just want to recreate that hovering effect you get when you move your mouse on the portfolio images in the home page.
So you want to show Portfolio items on the homepage too like on some of our demos, Main and Agency, right?
If that is what you are asking for, then this is very easy thing to do. You can see on this video how we have managed to do that with the help of Visual Composer elements.
I don't have a problem with the theme, I was just wondering if I could pick an image of my choice from the Media Library and apply the same hovering effect you can see on the Agency demo home page (https://demo.kaliumtheme.com/agency/).
The hovering effect I'm talking about is the white box with the title that appears and covers the portfolio images when your mouse passes over it (like the first image that shows a white box and the title "Adestra" if you pass your mouse over it; same as "Desk Concept", "Multi Color" and so on).
I just want to apply the same effect on some images of my choice from the Media Library to make them look like those without using the portfolio widget, because I want to link them to single pages I've creates, not portfolio items like in the demo.
Hi,
I'd like to know if it's possible to show the Portfolio Categories in the Kalium Agency theme's home page, instead of the single Portfolio Items.
That's what I'd like to do:
1 - I want to create some Portfolio categories and style their pages (e.g. Category Page EXAMPLE 1, Category Page EXAMPLE 2 and so on) to make them look like the single item's pages (e.g. Portfolio Item Page EXAMPLE 1, Portfolio Item Page EXAMPLE 2 and so on);
2 - Then I want to show those categories in the home page, just like you can see in the Agency DEMO but with categories previews instead of the single portfolio items.
Is that possible?
Thanks a lot
Hi Paolo,
I'm sorry but this option is not available on the theme. You can show categories as on our Main or Agency home demos only.
Hi Ylli,
thanks for your reply.

Hi Ylli,
which issue are you referring to?

It's something similar to this discussion here: https://laborator.ticksy.com/ticket/914438/#comment-4333157, the difference is that I don't want to show my team members images, just random ones I choose from the media library.
Is that possible?
Thanks again
Hi Paolo,
Ups sorry for that, i have misunderstand your question.
I'm sorry but this option is not possible.
Hi Ylli,
no problem :)
I'm kinda confused because the discussion here (https://laborator.ticksy.com/ticket/914438/#comment-4333157) is similar to mine and, in that case, you provided a code for Visual Composer in order to achieve what the user wanted to do, which as you can read (https://laborator.ticksy.com/ticket/914438/#comment-4323520) is similar to my case.
How can I adapt that code for my needs?
Thanks
Hi Paolo,
I talked with Arlind (backend developer) but he is saying that this is impossible to achieve.
I'm sorry for that and i hope that you understand us.
Thank you.
