Script loading too long

    I finished redesigning my page and am now about to optimize load speed. One thing is my hosting provider, as I get quite varying loading times. The other thing is I realized there are a bunch of Javascript loading separately.

    The one script that takes about 5sec to load is the following: admin-ajax.php  from the wp-admin.directory, sending:

    action=slimtrack&op=add&id=YTozOntzOjEyOiJjb250ZW50X3R5cGUiO3M6NDoicGFnZSI7czoxMDoiY29udGVudF9pZCI7aTo0MjQ0O3M6NjoiYXV0aG9yIjtzOjE0OiJUaWxsIEVyZG1lbmdlciI7fQ==.fb1028296f23565fd20aa1ce52b9202b&ref=&res=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5lcmRtZW5nZXIuZGUv&sw=1920&sh=1080&bw=887&bh=942&sl=5913&pp=30631&pl=quicktime"

    receiving:

    152325.acd856b29f295b0f12e22b78ab42e7b5

    Can you figure out what this is and why is is being transmitted? Probably nothing to do with your theme, but just wanted to know.

    Thanks, Till

    Thanks for the insights! I stumbled upon the script because it takes quite some time to execute, and both a computer-specialist-friend of mine and the guys over at my hosting-service said I should check this very script. Strange they do not know this is a standard-WP script.

    According to your post you already use those plugins (Super Cache, Better Minify and Stone compressor) inside your theme? Did I get this correct? So it doesn´t make sense for me to install them from within Admin panel?

    Regards, Till

    Hi Till,

    You need to install those plugins on your Wordpress site, for the moment we don't use those plugins on our theme demos.

    Thanks for your info. I tried Super Cache and it seems to speed up things. Better than Total Cache which I used before – this plugin actually slows down my site. Stone Compressor is now installed too, don't know how much this helps, but will test it out. Better Minify does not work as expected – the submenus within the menu stop to drop down automatically and on the some pages post grids and certain widgets simply don't load at all. I deinstalled it. Do you have another hint at which  js/css combiner might be worth trying?

    Hi Till,

    I'm sorry but we don't have any other hint for the moment.

    As i said earlier, if you're looking for professional help in this matter, there's always someone available for such tasks on the Envato Studio. Pricing and timeline are always straightforward there and that's the main reason for recommending it.
