Hello, I have purchased the AURUM theme which is FANTASTIC and does everything I want it to EXCEPT ONE THING...
I would like to have the option of customising the top navigation menu so that it is not just plain text on a white or coloured background. I would like to add a graphic behind the nav menu to jazz it up a little. Do you have a free OR paid for plugin that can help me with this? I have searched and search on Google but cannot find anything!

As for menu background actually that is quite specific and the best way to achieve it is with Custom CSS. Can you tell me how do you want to assign the background in menu so I will give you the Custom CSS to achieve that.
So in the next reply send me the URL of your site, a sketch of how do you want menu to look and the background image for the menu.
The url is: http://www.vintage-girl.co.uk and I have attached 3 files, "Original" is how Aurum is with the 'out of the box' nav on a white background, "with Graphic" is how I would like it to look (can it be coded to be 'responsive'?) and the third is the nav menu background graphic.
Try adding the following CSS in your Custom CSS area to fix it, please note that you need to change the URL of your image to any other path where you upload it:
header.site-header .full-menu.menu-centered .menu-container .main-menu {
background: url(https://ticksy_attachments.s3.amazonaws.com/menu-nav-background_321.jpg) no-repeat top center;
padding: 20px 110px;
}
Also, there is no way to make it work better on smaller devices because the layout of the menu is that way that you can't change it.
All I can say is WOW! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH! It is exactly what I was needing to do with the menu graphic.
I am so grateful for your time. AURUM is now my all time FAVOURITE theme, I can do pretty much anything with it whether it is an Woo Commerce site or just a static site.
