That's possible, but please include your site URL at least so we can see it live and give you a CSS code to remove it, also make sure it's not on maintenance or coming soon mode.
Unfortunately, this is not yet implemented! We have added it in our to-do list and will do it as soon as we finish with the big 2.0 update, which will be available in the beginning of December.
is there any update in vercetties request? Concerning the chance of the default main category? Now, as the 2.0 version has come out, I am wonderin whether this option is now possible.

Is there any possibility/script (before the next upgrade comes out) to hide portfolio-categorie "all" and directly jump to a predefined (sub) categorie? In my case: http://augenderwelt.de for instance, "Indien".

First: He 'deactived' "Menu", means: made it invisible. After that, he re-centered the menu. Finally, he added a automatic forward from my stating page to a predefined categorie (in my case: "Selektion"). You can see this forward by looking at the URL.
Long story short... I cannot give you the code since I don't know where he edited stuff. He's now on vaccation but I will ask him as soon as he's back. I will then provide the code asap. It'd be my pleassure sharing it. However, I (and he) cannot provide support. Me because I don't know shit and he because he's a pretty busy guy. ;)

Hi there, I really enjoy the category filter of the portfolio widget on the homepage. I hoped to remove the "all" and only display my categories.
I have a featured category and I really want that to be the default/main category shown and not all.

I add that to our Custom CSS under the Page's Parameters and Options. Select Update. And nothing happens.. Please advise.

Thanks Art, the "all" tab has been removed but its still showing all. If you select featured tab then it switches and narrows down to featured...
@updates. I'm afraid it'll break down if I update. should i not worry?
ps. i've made the non-"featured" portfolio items into drafts to temporarly hide them until this is fixed. thnx.

You said you want to remove only the all, I gave you the code for that not to show on the Featured category directly.
The update will not ruin anything if you have not touched the core files of the themes.
