How to Delegate Envato and Ticksy Account to a Contractor

    Hi there @Laborator-Support,

I've purchased Kalium back in August and soon realized that I would delegate the actual on-server installation and adjustment work to a professional web designer.

We have now found that person and thus my question is, how to enable her to interact with you and Envato (to download updates) on my behalf without sharing my Envato Account credentials (which would be a violation of terms, I guess).

What is the prefered, long lasting combination of credentials, accounts and API-Tokens in this case ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Wolfgang,

You just need to give your developers your username and oAuth code, then they will be able to update your theme from the Envato Market plugin.

You can also update your theme manually by just going to your Downloads tab on themeforest > go to our item and click Download > then go to your downloads folder and unzip our theme > open folder that you unzipped > unzip kalium.zip > open kalium folder that you unzipped and copy all of it’s content, then go to your wordpress files, *wp-content >themes > kalium* paste and replace all the files that you copied earlier.

So you can send your developers the latest theme update that you downloaded from themeforest, then they can update your theme manually.

    Thanks Ylli,

OK, of course updates could go either way, yet that was just one half of my question. I still don't know

    >how to enable her to interact with you [here on the Ticksy platform] on my behalf

so you have an outlook to qualified questions instead of me putting stupid ones ;-)

Looking forward to that info, too.

    Best regards,

    Wolfgang

I might add, that up to know, I used my Envato account to sign in here ... perhaps registering directly and forwarding that account would be an option?

    Hi Wolfgang,

I'm sorry but your client can send you the questions and then you can send it them to us.

There is not other way, or your developer can buy our theme and then take advantages of theme updates and support (6 months for free).

    Hi Illy,

no problem as I AM the client who is going to use Kalium on a single domain which is in my understanding the core licensing precondition regardless who will ask your support. But maybe I'm wrong ... anyway, we don't need to make this more complicated as it simply will be me, who will ask your support if needed. This Ticket can be closed.

    Thanks and all the best
    Wolfgang

    PS.

I couldn't log in here for a short period of time and don't know what the cause was, yet apparently that's solved too :-)
