I am trying to update Kalium theme. I used Envato Market plugin and crated a new token, but I am getting the following message when I try to test API connection:
"The OAuth Personal Token could not be verified. Please check that the Token has been entered correctly and has the minimum required permissions."
This has worked before, but now it fails.
I hope you can help,
Please contact your hosting provider about this because maybe your server is not allowing this connection.
You can also update your theme manually by just going to your Downloads tab on themeforest > go to our item and click Download > then go to your downloads folder and unzip our theme > open folder that you unzipped > unzip kalium.zip > open kalium folder that you unzipped and copy all of it’s content, then go to your wordpress files, *wp-content >themes > kalium* paste and replace all the files that you copied earlier.
Thanks for your answer, I have used it before, the Envato Market tool, to update Kalium theme. I will contact the hosting provider and asked them.
Last time I tried to update Kalium (not today, but a few months ago), I also wasn't able to update, but oAuth was working. There was another problem related to
I'm not sure what exactly is the problem there, maybe you can give a try Envato Toolkit plugin, and see if it works for you. This plugin is deprecated now because it uses API key (the old method that Envato provides) but it still works if you create a new API key.
Thanks, I tried the Envato toolkit, unfortunately it doesn't work, once I enter the API key, there should be a tag with Themes (next to the settings tag), but there is nothing there. You can try if you want...
Anyway, I will do it conventional way, by copying the theme directly to the server.
I'm very confused why this is happening to you, this happen on some very rare cases and the problem could come from your hosting provider, as they disable some features such as updates of files from another server.
You can manually update your theme this time, but is nice to write to your provider and ask them if they know why this is happening.
