    Hi there,

I'm panicking!!! I just updated my Kalium Theme using the Envato Market Tool! Hoping this is the safest and easiest way. Now all I see is the "White Screen of Death". Homepage gone. WP-Login impossible. Work-around with theme deactivation via FTP was successful. But now I'm told "your Kalium theme is broken". Also the Kalium Theme showed up twice in the Theme section...which found very weird??!! Now 2 months of work seem to be gone down the river?!?! Please help!! Thank you very much! Markus

    Hi Markus,

Did you do a backup of your Theme Options? The issue with the theme is fixed but the styling is not there anymore.

    Best regards,

Hey Art, any news regarding the theme? I still see "White Screen of Death" and a renamed theme on ftp server called "Kalium-x"?! Do you have any idea how to help? I'm really frustrated with my homepage being offline for days? Best regards and thank you ver much in advance, Markus

    Hi Markus,

I've uploaded Kalium theme and activated it, however after the activation there are few errors that are not shown up in the screen. In order to find the issue I need this PHP var to be On: display_errors

So can you set in php.ini display_errors = On

Contact your host and tell them to enable PHP errors to be logged in file or shown in the screen, that is the only way for me to know where is the issue.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi Markus,

All right then. When you decide to update the theme please make sure you have turned on "display_errors" variable of php.ini so it will let me know where exactly is the problem.

It seems that something inside our theme is not working with your php version, and without "error_log" or display_errors On I am unable to exactly know where is the problem.

    Hi Markus,

We are experiencing the exact same thing right now and are panicking (!!) since our support has stopped. What did you do to fix the problem?

Thanks a lot in advance, Ascha

    Hi Ascha,

I'm not an expert, but I guess this depends on what exactly happened to your page. After my Kalium theme update failed and I saw the "White Screen of Death" my theme was irreversibly broken. Therefore I / the support had to install it again from scratch. Because I didn't save my custom settings, database, etc. the page was working again but looked like s*** - stupid me! Thank god aka my provider Host Europe, who does daily backups, I could restore my whole database and webspace...so now the page is running like it did 3 weeks ago. So I'm back on Kalium 1.9.3 again and not planning to update yet. The only permanent problem is, that my CDN Cloudflare is not working anymore...but I'm not sure if this is a theme or provider issue...I'm still working on that one. I hope you can fix your issue - maybe check your provider first?! Fingers crossed! Best, Markus
