    The theme is really cool looking and if I can get it working plan to not only use this one for myself but purchase another for a client; however he is getting impatient and I need to find the fix soon or else he will tell me to find a new theme to buy for him and I'll be stuck with theme that looks cool but I can't use ;)

    Note: I am running it on a local DevServer so I am unable to give you the password/login to look at at.

    1. I have installed a lot of themes in the past and know about the quirks like adjusting the WP Post_Max_size, etc and for the most part it loads without an issue. The problem I am having is when I get to the "Demo Content Install" phase things start going bad. When I click on "Demo Content Install" the only Demos that install without a problem are the "Landing Page", "Education" and "Fitness" demos... all others claim to install but add one note "Horray! All Done. - However few errors appeared during the import process: [ErrType:XML-wp-content]"

    Any ideas? SOS :)

    ===============================================

    2. Also: When I first installed your theme I got a different error, but I refreshed the theme and the error message 'appeared' to go away

    That error was...

    Fatal error: C:\......... class-phpmailer.php on line 946

    When I looked line 946 showed this:

    line 946                throw new phpmailerException($error_message);
    line 947            }
    line 948            return false;
    line 949        }

    ** Thank you for your help. --- Once I get it up and running I'll be sure to give you five stars for this theme ;)

    UPDATE: I re:re:re did the PHP.ini doc and the first problem seems to have solved itself, but the second is still and issue I am trying to figure out and when I looked online there are quite a few people with the same problem. SOS :)

    Hi David,

    Thanks for your kind words.

    1. Since you are using it on Dev Server, I will tell you how to install demo content (manual way), the demo content for each demo is located in main download file for example:

    Kalium-Full-Package/Extras/Demo Content/Agency/

    So upload the Demo Content.xml in Tools > Import (WordPress) and check "Download media attachments"

    If this is imported properly then the other part of the content import can be imported in the same process but without checking "WordPress Content":

    (view large version)

    2. The "class-phpmailer.php" is located inside wordpress core files wp-includes/class-phpmailer.php and it is not part of our theme. This error happens because local servers doesn't have DNS for sending emails, so you can ignore it until you go online.

    Hopefully this will help you.

    Thank you Arlind for your response. I appreciate the help.

    I was able to show my client your Demo page at Themeforest. He said that he really likes your theme and that has given me a little more time to figure out the install, but I'm on the clock and fear he might become impatient again soon.

    The Laragon Development Server I am using currently is using php-7.0.10-Win32-VC14-x86. Is there any change that PHP7 might be contributing to my problem? Could my problem with also that I am using Wordpress 4.6.1?

    I've installed XML files manually in the past, but something looks different with the current version of wordpress.

    When I go to Tools > Import (in wordpress) there are not "download media attachments" option. What I see instead is:

    1. a "what's sidekick" button,
    2. "Install WooCommerse plugin" button,
    3. "Run WooCommerse Wizard" button

    4. ...then at the bottom of that page there are several options allowing me to import content from another CMS (like Blogger, Blogroll, LiveJournal, etc) -- But no "Download media attachments" noted in your email.

    So what i have been doing instead is:

    1. Install Kalium theme = Appearance > themes > add new > upload theme
    2. install plugin = plugins > bulk actions _ install > bulk actions_update > bulk actions_activate
    3. Install Demo = Laborator > Demo Content Install > (in this case) Agency _ Install Contnet Pack > (at this point the screen capture you show in your email appears) -

    ** When I load some Demo's like the Architecture I get stock photography that load with the demo content but other demos I just get the basic layout of the pages (is this normal)?

    I do have one other question. Some of the themes life the Architecture and Main demos have images that populate the theme, but others are just blank pages like the education demo that has in place of the images "demo image - place image here" instead. Are these demos just not loading correctly? I also like the Dark Skin demo on your themeforest page but when I download the files I do not see a "dark skin" demo after clicking on the Laborator > Demo Content Install tabs.

    Any advise you have would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to playing around with your theme (and various demo options) once I can get Wordpress to actually play nice and let me install it correctly (lol).

    In the meantime I think I am going to refresh the Laragon server exe, start with new PHP databases, update the PHP.ini document and try to install Kalium from scratch. Maybe this time will be the charm. ;)

    (thank you for your assistance)

    Hi David,

    Actually you are running under recommended PHP version and WordPress version as well, and it works well with our theme, last week we have released an update that makes Kalium fully compatible with 4.6.1 of WP.

    To setup our theme you don't need to follow a specific way of setup, its modulated and you can setup/install only what you want. Shop, portfolio, blog, sliders, demo content and all parts of the content can be installed/imported individually, so feel free to play with it and you will not do anything wrong, its just intuitive as you might see, you only install what you need.

    So for example if you want to setup the dark skin, here is what you need to do:

    1. Go to Theme Options > Theme Styling
    2. Activate Custom Skin by pressing "Yes"
    3. Choose the "Dark Skin" preset:

    (view large version)

    4. Click Save All Changes and you are done with it.

    As for demo content image placeholders, they work like that, because Envato or third party licenses doesn't allow original images to be included in the demo (distribution). For example in our demo content of education, we have purchased some of the images and they can only be used in one site. For more, including the same images will increase the install time and import unnecessary content in your host, so the demo content provided includes the same structure as in original demo and it doesn't break license regulations.

    Hopefully I was clear on this. If you need more information feel free to ask.
