The pages and menus that you have won't be touched but the new pages, posts and settings will be applied which means that the layout may change but not be lost.
glad to see this thread, as I had the same question - on effects of installing demo to a running and customized webpage.
I just want to add that fullscreen slider homepage from the Main Demo, preferrably without any impact on already created content and my current settings (I´m running on a Kalium Child Theme).*
What I understand from Art´s answer is that a demo content install will add some new demo stuff like additional demo pages and posts, but also it will change my settings. Is it possible to use the built-in Kalium Theme Options > Backup & Restore Options to save my settings prior to installing the demo and to restore them afterwards?
Thank you
marek
* (I´ve already tried to create a similar fullscreen slider homepage on my own, directly using Slider Revolution... but just came to a conclusion that tweaking a pre-made slider would be much more time-effective... to get the desired result and learn to work with SR... Layer Slider WP is much easier to use, but so far I did not find a way to create a true fullscreen slider).
So using "Kalium Theme Options > Backup & Restore Options " is enough to avoid/restore any mess caused by installing additional demo.
Another thing is that I´ve already installed one demo content pack (Agency) and now I want to add the homepage from another demo (Main Demo) = in other words to install a second demo. However, your suggestion is "We recommend to install only one demo content pack per WordPress installation." (written in the "1-Click Demo Content Installer"). Is that a problem?
All I want is to be sure that I won´t lose all the previous work I´ve done.
— Yes, you have to take care only of the backup of Theme Options, while if you haven't modified the theme files you can feel safe.
— You can import any page from any of our demos, we can give you the whole page content by code and then you can paste it on your homepage by switching the editor to Classic > Text, let me know which homepage you want to use so I can proceed further.
The second point you wrote fits extactly to what I´d like to do. So please, the desired page is http://demo.kaliumtheme.com/main/. Then I would create a new page and paste the demo content code to analyze & test its features.
We started building our website using one demo (Agency), then some time later a decision came to use another one (Main). Thank you for the support, it´s been really helpful.
Copy the following code, and paste it in your homepage by switching the editor to Classic > Text
[vc_row full_width="lab-full-width" no_bottom_margin="yes"][vc_column][rev_slider_vc alias="homepage"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row no_bottom_margin="yes" css=".vc_custom_1449169283779{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}"][vc_column][lab_portfolio_items portfolio_type="type-2" dynamic_image_height="yes" more_link="url:http%3A%2F%2Fdemo.kaliumtheme.com%2Fmain%2Fportfolio%2F|title:Show%20More|" title="Latest Works" description="Our everyday work is presented here, we do what we love,
Case studies, video presentations and photo-shootings below." portfolio_query="size:8|order_by:date|post_type:portfolio"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
But... now I see that I did not explain my aim correctly... the problem is that now I have the demo´s homepage framework & elements - but what I don´t have is the demo content: Revolution slider with its content etc. (this experience).
OK, I understand now that to get the full demo content/experience (i.e. to get exactly what your demo page shows to my website) - I really need to do the demo install. Luckily, in your earlier answer you´ve instructed me how to backup my settings. Will try this way.
Hi Support team,
I would like to ask what happens if I download and install demo content. Will my menu be changed?
I just want to know if there will be impact on current pages, which mys customers see. I would like to use demo content for fresh ideas.
All Best

Hi Marek,
You're right, you can backup your options and settings and after getting the demo content installed you can import the demo content settings.

Hi Marek,
You can import the slider manually, it is included in the extras folder when you download Kalium.

Perfect, that´s it!! Exactly.
Thank you Art, no more questions in this ticket.
Cheers
