I use the child-theme to avoid my settings to be overwritten each time a update is made. I have installed the plugin "Loco-translate" to translate my site in swedish and somehow every translation removes when I update the theme. How can I avoid this to happen?

Is the Loco translate plugin the best solution?

Hi Lova,
Please store language files in wp-content/languages (global wordpress languages folder) and it won't be affected when you updae the theme.
When you click "New Language" for the current active theme on the new language page, choose these options – Screenshot
