I recently updated to your latest theme release 1.9.4. When I did this, my individual portfolio/work posts stopped working. Whenever I would load a portfolio post page none of the content would show, and the burger menu did not work. The only thing that did work was the logo. The rest of the pages all looked fine and worked as expected.
On the portfolio pages, at the very bottom of the page (which was blank) there was the following error code:
/wp-content/themes/kalium/tpls/portfolio-single-prevnext.php on line 17
I have since reverted back to version 1.9.1 of the theme and the portfolio pages are working again.
In addition, the theme customization panel in WordPress was also having a lot of visual glitches or errors. I had the latest version of WordPress installed at the time (WordPress 4.6 Pepper). Based on public tickets posted, it seems like others are running into the same issue.
Thanks for sharing your feedback Rick. I have exactly the same error. Because I have experienced bugs in the past with the theme updater, I usually delete the current version before uploading the latest one. I don't have any backup of the last stable version of the theme. Any chance you know where I can download the 1.9.1? I have made some searches and theme forest does not offer old versions. From what I read it seems that the only solution is to contact the author but unfortunately they are on holiday...
I am assuming that you got your copy of the theme from Theme Forest which is part of Envato. I'll also assume that you haven't turned off the auto-backup feature that comes with the theme. If both of these things are correct, if you use your FTP client (Fetch, or Transmit, etc.) to navigate to: wp-content\envato-backups, in there you will find all of the iterations of the themes. My copy of the 1.9.1 version of the theme was backed up in July. The files are kept as .zip files and I found it easiest to manually replace the 1.9.4 version with the downloaded backup using my FTP client.
One note, if you made any updates to your functions.php or any other files that are within the theme folder you'll need to update them again if you have any custom functionality or needs that were done after you installed the theme.
You are probably going to want to downgrade some of the plugins as well for optimal functionality with the theme. The 3rd party plug-ins that come bundled with the theme are also in the available in the backup. They are found in the "inc" folder under thirdparty-plugins. As with the theme itself, I found it best to manually replace the updated plugins with the older versions.
You can use WP Rollback (a plugin) to downgrade some plugins that are supported by WP Labs, but some of the plugins like layer slider are not supported and thus you have to use the manual method of replacing your plugins.
I hope this helps... I am fairly novice at this, but for me, this worked.
Thanks for your detailed answer it's very appreciated. I guess the auto-backup feature was not working properly because the last backup I found comes from last year. I gonna try with this last version to see what's going on. Thanks again for your answer.

Hi Rick,
Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /tpls
This should fix your issue.
Sorry for the delay of the answer, as we were on holidays break and support team was partly active. Now we are back and able to help with any issue.
