    Hi support,

    when I hover above the shopping cart logo on my page, it just shows "Loading cart contents...", but nothing happens.

    Neither does it show me how many items are in the shopping cart and it doesn't take me to the shopping cart page when I click on it.

    How do I fix thix?

    Hi Sören,

    We don't have this issue on our theme, and it should work to you too. Can you please disable all your third-party plugins (plugins that don't come with our theme) one by one, and check if this problem is solved.

    Also please check if you are using our latest theme version (2.9.4). If not then you need to update your theme.

    The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit or Envato Market plugin. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure :)

    Important: After you update the theme please don't forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

    If you can't update LayerSlider, go to Plugins and deactivate this plugin. Then go to Appearance > Install Plugins, you now can update and then activate Layer Slider again.


    If the problem is still active, then please send us your WordPress URL, username and password? We need to investigate your site and then get back to you if we have possible solution.


    Make sure to choose Private Reply when you send us sensitive informations!

    Hi Sören,

    This problem happens because of the https on your site, it looks like something is not working about your https site, it seems that a valid https certificate is missing. When i first opened your site a warning appeared from Google Chrome that prompted me that your site is not secure to visit.

    Also this is appearing

    thanks for your answer.

    I've fixed the SSL issue you've pointed out, however, the initial problem of the shopping cart logo not working (not showing items, not showing me shopping cart and generally not doing what it's supposed to do) still persists.

    Could you please take a look at it again?

    Hi Sören,

    When i try to login on your site with wp-admin or wp-login your website doesn't show me the Wordpress login area, have you changed that please? Can you send me the link to login on your site?

    Hi Sören,

    Please update Aurum to version 2.9.5 and then...

    Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /assets/js

    If you don't see the change immediately, please hard-refresh your browser (CTRL/CMD+R) because it takes longer to load the changes, as they are saved in browser cache. Another option is to open new private/incognito window and try if it works.


    P.S: If you don't want to miss any of your theme updates and want to be informed, please don't forget to enable this option:

     

    so when the update it's ready you will receive an email if you have enabled "Get notified by email if this item is updated" from your Downloads tab.

    thanks for your answer.

    I've done as you've said: first updated to 2.9.5 and then replaced the aurum-custom.js file you've provided below.

    Still, the original problem persists. Please take a look at it again.

    Hi Sören,

    I've added the necessary files to make this working, it is working in my end but not on yours. I think you have some kind of caching in your server. Can you please clean the cache and see if its solved for you.

    thanks for your help.

    I have no caching plugins enabled, and my webhosting doesn't have any caching either.

    Just to be clear - should I see some sort of Ajax call being made when I hover over the cart logo?
    If so I can't see anything of this kind happening at the moment.

    I just wanna know where I can start looking for where the fault lies.

    Hi Sören,

    I've fixed your issue. It wasn't problem of caching, actually there was a function preventing file from loading. So I have removed it and now cart contents and other shop functionality is working properly.

    Please check and see if its working correctly now.

    yes thank you - it's working now.

    Was this a problem with just my site or something general within aurum? 

    Is there something I should be aware of when doing updates of the theme in the future?

    Hi Sören,

    The problem was inside our theme files, it was an "invalid" declaration line of code which prevented from executing the entire file.

    The fix will be included in the upcoming updates and you don't have to worry about it, I have changed also original files or Aurum that are ready for release in the next update.
