I would like to build product queries in Product Carousel and have only products of a specific product-category show. But when typing in a category only post-categories come up. Theme can't find any product-categories...
Please assign your product categories to "Taxonomies" field, not Categories field, here I've recorded my screen to show you how to assign category to Custom Query Builder in Product carousel category:
