    Hey,

first of all thanks for the support so far.

I still need your help for something: On the end of each portfolio item I'd like to add a "portfolio items" element, so I have my whole portfolio at the end of each project so everyone can just jump to the next project of her choice after viewing one specific portfolio item.
So here is my problem: if I use "portfolio items" it seems it can only access the portfolio item that I'm currently on. So I always have just one project displayed (see files attached). I tried to play around with building a custom query I couldn't find any solution.
If I would use a "post masonry grid" It shows all projects, but even tough I have different options for hover states for this grid it doesn't have the one I have on the one from the theme of my initial portfolio or on the "portfolio" items (also see files attached).
Is there a way to display all portfolio items with the right hover state?
I hope the attached files can illustrate my problem (even tough it's in german).

    thanks & all best,
    Katrin

    Hi Katrin,

I am afraid that there is no fix for your problem, the issue is that the Visual Composer is not supported in the portfolio item except the Visual Composer Type and that is why you are having problems to show the related items at the end of a portfolio.

    Hi Art,

thank you for your quick response. I was wondering if it is not possible to use the portfolio items, then is there a possiblity to apply the hover state of it to the masonry grid? I guess that the initial hover state is one that you wrote especially for kalium? If it's just a style couldn't I apply it to the masonry post grid and overwrite the default one?

    thanks & all best,
    Katrin

    Hi Katrin,

Could you please try to be more specific about the last question as I couldn't understand it, if possible take screenshots.

    Hi Art,

ok I'll do my best to describe it: there would be the option to use a "masonry post grid" instead of the "portfolio items" – since you said that there will be no way to make the "portfolio items" work.
If I use a "masonry post grid" it does display all the work as I would like it – so far so good. There would be only one problem: The "masonry post grid" does offer a lot of different hover states, but not the one that is used in the initial portfolio site, which seems to be a hover state specific to the kalium theme. Hence my question: would it be possible to apply the hover state of the theme portfolio (see screenshot) to overwrite the hoverstate of the "masonry post grid" (also see screenshot). And if so – how do I do that?

    Thanks & all best,
    Katrin

    Hi Katrin,

Can you please just re-check these attached files as none of them is working, try uploading them somewhere else like imgur.com or change their names to something short and without special characters.

    Hi Art,

ok – I hope this one works:

pic one – is how the "portfolio items" look and what I'd like to hover effect to look like
pic two – is the "masonry post grid" that displays all the work, but doesn't have the right hover effect.

If there's possibility to overwrite the hover from pic two with the one from pic one I'd be one happy girl.

    thanks

    Hi Art,

sorry for the late reply. I have actually figured out a solution for the portfolio problem. But may I bug you with another question?

    In my project "goodprint" http://dev.katrinbichler.at/index.php/portfolio/goodprint-2/

I have used the videoplayer twice, first the connection to he video often seems to break since often I get a failure notice that "No compatible source was found for this media", until I log myself into the project and then somehow the link works again. The other thing: the  start-screen is completely black with a "play"-icon. Is there a way to set a custum start-screen?

    Thanks & all best,
    Katrin

You are using an old version of our theme (1.9.1) and the latest version for the moment is (1.9.3), please update your theme first and then the premium plugins too.

The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit or Envato Market plugin. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure :)

Important: After you update the theme please don't forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

If you can't update LayerSlider, go to Plugins and deactivate this plugin. Then go to Appearance > Install Plugins, you now can update and then activate Layer Slider again.

    Hi Art,

thanks for your help! I updated everything, thanks to the update the video start-screen shows now, except it quite pixelated. So the solution for this is layer slider and to create a slide with a startscreen on top of a video slider?

    thanks

    Hi Katrin,

If you want to have a slide intro then you will have to use a slider but I would suggest you to use the Revolution Slider instead of LayerSlider.
