Staging environment

    Hi Laborator Support team,

I am currently trying to set up a staging environment for my company's website to test the updates if they will affect our layout. However, it seems Kalium parent theme is missing components in staging, which is causing the site to revert to the standard theme. (test.cviad.com)

We are not sure if you allow staging environment to test your update.

    Thanks,

    Hien

    Hi Hien,

Wow you are using an very very old version of our theme (1.3) and the latest version for the moment is (1.9.3) (so we have released 27 updates since then) please update your theme first and then the premium plugins too.

The easiest way to update our themes is if you use Envato Toolkit or Envato Market plugin. On this link How to update Themes and Plugins you can learn this easy step-by-step procedure :)

Important: After you update the theme please don't forget to go to Appearance > Install Plugins to update all your premium plugins to the latest version that we support.

If you can't update LayerSlider, go to Plugins and deactivate this plugin. Then go to Appearance > Install Plugins, you now can update and then activate Layer Slider again.

I understand that we are far behind from the update. We are testing the update on our staging environment to see what design customization we are loosing.

We found out there is a mega tag (
<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">) on the theme header that avoid Google SEO find us. Do you know what caused this and how to avoid it.

    Thanks,

    Hien

    Hi Hien,

That is happening because you have clicked to not be searched when you have installed Wordpress on your server.

Just go to Wordpress dashboard > Settings > Reading and deactivate Search Engine Visibility option.
