Hi, thanks for the cool theme!

i have a problem with editing a file in a child theme. i would like to change something in /tpls/blog-post-meta.php and therefor copy it to the child theme to /aurum-child/tpls/blog-post-meta.php so its update-safe. but whenever i change anything there it does not appear on the site, it still seems to take the original file.

what can i do to fix this? thanks for your help!

    Hi TIlo,

You need to activate your Child theme too.

As you could read in my other ticket, the child theme is active and running. Other files have been copied (eg. /aurum-child/woocommerce/cart/cart.php) and changed and this has worked! Just in this special case it did not work at all!

    Hi Tilo,

You are right, it takes the original file from the theme. Is it possible for you to replace 2 files, so it will inherit the file from your child theme:

    1. Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /tpls

    2. Download this file and replace it in this directory (of the theme): /tpls

    This will work for you.

    The lastest update fixed this!

    Thanks!

Great to hear that it worked for you.

If you like our theme, it would help us a lot if you could give us five star rating on themeforest from your Downloads tab, (if you don't know how, just open this link).

A huge thank you from Laborator in advance!
