    Hello, we recently inherited a website with Kalium 2.9. We already upgraded the bundled plugin. Our question is, is it safe to upgrade the whole theme from the old 2.9 to the latest version of 3.x?

    Hi there,

    Yes, it is safe to update Kalium from version 2.9 to the latest 3.x version. However, since this is a very large version jump, we strongly recommend taking a full backup of the website before performing the update.

    Also, after updating, please check the site layout and functionality to make sure everything works as expected, especially if the site uses older versions of bundled plugins or custom modifications.

    If possible, it is even better to test the update on a staging or development copy of the site first.
