Hello, my Contact Form page has started to act like a spam magnet during the last few weeks. Is there any way to add a captcha function without having to use Google APIs. Your recommended plugin is reCaptcha by BestWebSoft plugin, but that's Google dependant.
Alternatively, could you recommend any alternative contact form solutions to overcome this issue?
Thank you so much!
Hi,
At the moment, Aurum only includes built-in styling and integration for Google reCAPTCHA. We don’t provide a native non-Google captcha option inside the theme itself.
However, you can try WPForms free, which supports Cloudflare Turnstile as an alternative to Google reCAPTCHA. Turnstile works very well against spam and doesn’t require Google APIs. It’s lightweight and generally easier to set up if you’re already using Cloudflare.
You can install WPForms, enable the Turnstile integration from its settings, and then replace your current contact form with a WPForms form.
Best regards,
Laborator Team
