    Hi there,

    If you have run the “Run the Database Upgrade,” your site should be functioning normally, similar to the previous version, unless you’ve made customizations that may not be compatible. We have mentioned this in our documentation several times.

    If you prefer to roll back, you can do so using a backup of your site which was using the old version of Kalium.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi again,

    I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

    If you have a live version of your site running Kalium 3 (or a backup of how it used to look), we can work together to compare the two versions. This way, we can identify the specific changes and help you restore each section (menus, footer, etc.) to look as it did before the upgrade, so you can keep using Kalium 4.

    We’d be happy to assist you in resolving these issues step by step, making sure that your website looks exactly as you want it after the upgrade.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi,

    I'm having the upgrade from Kalium 3 to Kalium 4 crash my wordpress website. I can't even open a support ticket because my Kalim 3 purchase code isn't being recognized (old purchase, and the error message literally tells me to buy another). And my new Kalium 4 code is getting flagged as not existing, even though I just received it from you guys...

    Please help and I strongly suggest you account for all use cases for Kalium purchase codes. It's ridiculous I can't open a ticket with you guys, when I have two valid activation codes.

    Hi Maggie,

    We want to inform you that we are currently experiencing issues with our support ticket system, which is provided by Ticksy. We have reported the problem and have been waiting for over a week for it to be resolved. Unfortunately, this has caused delays in addressing support requests, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

    We understand how important timely support is, and we are working hard to move to our own support system to avoid relying on third-party applications that can’t resolve their issues. This has caused significant problems for both us and our customers.

    In the meantime, for any urgent issues, please feel free to email us at [email protected]

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi Iñigo,

    I’m glad to hear you’ve recovered the site!

    To have a smooth upgrade to Kalium 4 without affecting your live site, I recommend creating a staging site from your current setup. A staging site is a clone of your live site where you can test changes, updates, or new features safely. This way, we can work on the upgrade and make sure everything matches the older version perfectly. You can find instructions on how to create a staging site here.

    Hi, Art:

    I will install the staging site in another folder. Then, you will update to Kalium 4 and see what happens?

    Best,

    Iñigo

    Hi, Art:

    It looks better than when I update it, for sure.

    But if you compare de home (below the slide), distances between items have changed. As it is just one page, I guess it is not very difficult to repair.

    But the pages of each boat, for example https://barracuda-yd.com/StageSite/Yachts/sailing-explorer-44/ compare to https://barracuda-yd.com/Yachts/sailing-explorer-44/, looks also bad (the container is set to full width and the distances between colums are wrong), and the next previous buttons show an error. As they are so many, repair them one by one is a huge work...

    I don't now if thas has a solution.

    Best,

    Iñigo

    Hi again,

    1. The Container was set to full width inside Elementor so I had to turn it back to Boxed as you can see in the image below:

    medium
    (view large version)

    2. The error in the navigation area was showing because of the code below, which is not needed because it is already implemented in Kalium 4 now:

    /**
     * Cambiar orden de las flechas prev next del navegador del portfolio.
     */

    add_filter( 'kalium_adjacent_post_link_args', function ( $args ) {
       $args['prev'] = ! $args['prev'];
       $args['next'] = ! $args['prev'];
       return $args;
    } );

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi, Art:

    Thank you.

    As I can see, I should set the Container to boxed in all pages one by one, and also set the distances between text colums so they look as in the Kalium 3 site (there are more or less 30 portfolio pages to correct). There are other changes I should do in the rest of the pages, as distances and some other things has changed --as the footer, for intance--).

    Is that so?

    Thanks,

    Iñigo

    Laborator replied

    Hi Iñigo,

    Yes, that’s correct. If you previously used the Full-width container but intended to have a boxed layout, you’ll need to switch to the Boxed container on each page. I’ve also made some changes to the site’s style, but if you come across any other issues, feel free to submit a ticket.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team
