    Dear Team of Laborator,

still figuring out how your amazing versaile theme works and I wanted to check out how your portfolio pages in the architecture theme are working.

But if I click on the individual portfolio Items, I always get a 404 Error and cant really see the edits.

Oh and additionally, my Portfolio Items that I posted are also giving me a 404:
    https://www.architectureandstreet.com/our-projects/

And while trying to edit them, I'll get this Error:
"This page can not be edited with WPBakery since it is missing a WordPress default content area."

Will you be able to hint me into the right direction how to get those back?

    All the best
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Please share your website login credentials so I can test this. To safely include your credentials click the Insert Credentials button in the editor toolbar (see how), or you can create a temporary login without a password (see how).

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi there,

Could you please check it now? I re saved of Settings > Permalinks and it usually does the job, when the URL rewriting of WordPress need a flush.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

It seems to work now, would you kindly write down in detail what you did?
I want to work with your theme on other websites in the future, so understand the process behind it is very beneficial and could save time.

    All the best
    Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

I’m glad it’s working now! Here’s what I did and why:

    1. Went to Settings > Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard.

    2. Clicked “Save Changes” without modifying anything. This action flushes the rewrite rules, which updates how WordPress generates URLs for your content. When these rules become outdated—due to changes in the site, plugins, or themes—it can cause 404 errors. Flushing the rules ensures the URLs are correct, resolving these errors.

This step is helpful whenever you experience broken links or 404 errors after making changes to your site.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team
