Not a bug, not an unknowing question but perhaps a question for an idea or hint:

In the map element i have to set the height of the embedded google map. Would it be possible to set the element to 100% of the surrounding box?

I thought about a three column layout at the top of the contact page and it would be great to have the map element in the same height than the other ones in 1:1.

Idea, hint, whatever all are welcome.

    Regards Andre

I checked many manual variants and every time the source: and there exist a style entry in the wrapper with a fixed height of 400.

    Hi Andre,

I understand what you want to achieve but unfortunately that's not possible with Google Maps, I have had the same issue where I wanted to have an automatic height for the Google Maps but unfortunately that was not possible anywhere because there needs to be set a specific height. The same logic is in WPBakery and in Elementor, I think for Google Maps it is mandatory to have a specific height set.

    Hi Art,

thanks for your answer. I found some CSS tricks to size the maps to the height of the surrounding div. But these tricks are not based on WPB and more reduced parent->child divs.

Your map container is very overloaded with child divs before the real iframe. Thanks for your answer and i will try / play / search a little bit. If i found a way then i will let you know here in this thread.

    Thanks and Regards André

I added one test element to show you the behavior in action. Three text elements as box in the first column with fixed height. Works perfect.
