If in Theme Options > Portfolio Settings > Portfolio Layout the Thumbnail Options are set with "Hover color background for this type" this could be overridden by single portfolio settings.
My idea was to define a site-wide setting and only for some portfolio items to override it. But this is NOT working. Now i have to set each portfolio item with settings. I would call it a Bug.
If i set a site wide setting i couldn't override it - that is the problem. The settings in single item will not be used - so there is a bug and that is the question. Its not based on two different portfolio layouts.
Please share your website login credentials with me so I can test this. To safely include your credentials click the Insert Credentials button in the editor toolbar (see how)
No - for this i will not share! Please test this in your local environment. And if it works there (which will not be) then i could share and you do the login. Please test this in your normal environment:
- Set a side wide thumbnail color on hover - set for one portfolio item "no hover"
and test if it works for one item. It will not work -> and that is the bug
- double check that Theme Options option is really set (because the entry is only updated in the field after pressing TAB)
- Add a "empty" hover by typing in "rgba(255,255,255,0)" Normally RGB values are not possible in your field but with copy + paste it works in each single portfolio which should be "disabled".
Since you are not sending me your WordPress credentials I can't check this live and test the fix but please download this new portfolio-loop-item-type-2.php file and replace it with the old one in this directory of the theme wp-content/themes/kalium/tpls/ and check if this fixes the problem.
If not, then record a video of the problem and try to be very specific so I can perfectly understand this and if it is a bug then we are also interested to fix it.
Sending your WP credentials will also help me test this on your environment and apply the changes.
like i wrote is the solution to define an empty hover color "rgba(255,255,255,0)" in all portfolio items which are "disabled" by dummy link "#". Now the portfolio items with single page content get the seite wide hover like defined in Kalium Theme Options and the items which have no "depth" get the "dummy" hover color from own settings.
Therefore its solved and you could close the ticket. Nevertheless Thankyou for your try.

Hi André,
Two portfolio layouts have different settings.
See video: https://d.pr/v/SWigGd
And you can also change this individually for a project in the Parameters and Options area.
Thanks!

Do you have read my question?

Hi again,
Are you talking about this option?
