I'm trying to implement AJAX-powered autocomplete for the search box. I've enabled the SearchWP Live Ajax Search plugin, but it's doesn't seem to be working.
This is a serious shortcoming of Kalium as customers are used to see autocomplete in search results. Hence my attempt at tackling this with the plugin.
Plugins in the list above have been tested and work properly with the theme, whereas 3rd party plugins such as the one that you are trying to install has not been tested and it may not work.
thanks, but this isn't really helpful. As it's blindingly clear from my previous message, I need a way to have autocomplete in the search box as it's kind of a standard behaviour expected by users everywhere.
I was expecting a more helpful reply instead.
I understand that it isn't part of Kalium, but would you be able to recommend a compatible way to implement this? Otherwise, what's the point of paying for support if all I get is a link to your documentation?
The theme search is made to work the theme while plugins such as the one you were using is made to work when using the default WordPress search field, you can try to add a shortcode to the header in the "Custom header":

Hi Andrius,
The plugin which you are trying to install and set up in the site is not in the list of supported plugins and extensions:
https://documentation.laborator.co/kb/kalium/kalium-supported-and-compatible-plugins/
Plugins in the list above have been tested and work properly with the theme, whereas 3rd party plugins such as the one that you are trying to install has not been tested and it may not work.

Hi again,
The theme search is made to work the theme while plugins such as the one you were using is made to work when using the default WordPress search field, you can try to add a shortcode to the header in the "Custom header":
