I wanted to check with you before purchasing or downloading a free plugin.
We don't have any plugin we could recommend to our customers which will password protect your pages or portfolio items but I have seen lots of users using them, unfortunately I cannot remember which one they've been using.
Have you tried using the default WordPress password protect feature?
