portfolio pagination broken

    Hi

Kalium portfolio pagination " Infinite scroll" is broken - the additional pages never appear.

I am not sure when this happened, but *possibly* with a PHP update to v8?

Based on my testing, the issue is caused by the pagination, not the individual pages (which have not changed). If I set pagination to "normal" I can click through the "1 2" to the second page.

I would like to keep using "infinite scroll" style of pagination.

See attached screenshots shows the type of pagination that is broken.

Thanks for any help you can give to fix this. It used to work and was great.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Today I noticed that , even though i switched to "Normal" pagination, there is still a big problem.

For example when clicking on the “VFX Supervision” filter, it should always show 7 items, but sometimes it shows 2 items and sometimes it shows 5 items.

I really need this to work so that it always shows the 7 items. It's really confusing to have the same menu display different results at different times. Please help.

For now, as a workaround,  I disabled pagination by setting portfolio items to -1

it would be nice to know if I am the only one experience these problems with pagination.

    Hi Mark,

The option that you are tweaking in the Theme Options is only for the original portfolio page http://markvandenbergen.com/portfolio/.

If you want to change the pagination of the portfolio items on your Homepage, then please make sure to go to Portfolio Items element on your homepage, click, edit, and then click the Pagination tab and choose the Endless Pagination with the Auto Reveal option as you can see in the screenshot below:

    Hi Yelli

    Thanks for sending these instructions.

I am trying to "go to Portfolio Items element on your homepage" but have the feeling my interpretation of your instructions may be wrong.

Attached pic is my best guess.

In this context I think I need some more clarification to get me to the right menu.

    Thanks again for your help

    Hi Mark,

Please share your WordPress credentials, because I need to login to your site and test this live.

To include your credentials click the Insert Credentials button in the editor toolbar (see how) so your reply will be private.

    Thanks!

    Hi Mark,

Pagination is not working because I can see that your site throws an error:

/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php:1          Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)

I can see on your System Status page that some of your PHP limits are lower than WordPress and modern themes require.

For more info please carefully read this article WordPress and Kalium Server Requirements, and on this page you can find a sample email that you can send to your hosting provider too.

    Thanks!

P.S: After you increase those problems and make your site https (install an SSL certificate). If the problem is not resolved after this, then please send us your FTP credentials too in a private reply so we can check the error logs.

    Thanks for your suggestions,

I have contacted GoDaddy and they made the changes to the settings that you suggested. Just waiting for them to take effect in the next 90 mins.

Re getting SSL. - Just to let you know, (and excuse my ignorance) my site is just a portfolio site, with nothing for sale. I am thinking of disabling of uninstalling WooCommerce. So I was wondering if i actually need SSL, and if so is there a cheep type of SSL that is good enough for a non e-commerce wordpress site?

Sorry for my ignorance on site security - I just thought that SSL was just for sites with sensitive personal customer info.

    Hi Mark,

I'm very happy that now your problems are resolvedsmile.png

I wish you have an amazing weekend!

P.S: If you like Kalium, it would help us a lot if you could give us a five-star rating on Themeforest from your Downloads tab.

A huge thank you from me and Laborator in advance.
