I can't seem to find a way to add a reusable block I created. Using the portfolio page template for my home page doesn't seem to allow that reusable block to be used at the bottom of the page. I have attached a screen capture of the reusable block where it is being used on a normal page - can this be added at the bottom of the Home page using the Portfolio Page template?
Unfortunately the portfolio template is a theme template which is only for the portfolio and therefore you cannot edit it like the other pages as it is built as a template where changes can only be done through the options you have and not like the other default pages.
IN a former life, I was a PT Wordpress web designer (back in the days of WP 2.9 up to late series 4) where hacking source code was more normal than it is today.
I was able to "hack" the footer section by hard coding source code of the reusable block I had initially put into other pages - so now the same footer content shows up on all pages throughout my site - it's not pretty but it works!
I am happy to hear that you managed to find a fix for what you wanted to achieve, as mentioned in my previous reply the portfolio page cannot be edited with the editors unless you want to modify the theme files and code it.
