WPBakery Page Builder plugin issue

Trying the WPBakery Page Builder site said I didn't have a license and since it is included with the Kalium theme I purchased support is through you.

I'm running into an issue on my live site where the specialty search at the bottom is not working

However, on my test site it works as expected

INTERLINK Transplant & Specialty Network Listings (easywp.com)

I have done the following so far: restored from the same backup, verified Wordpress version is the same, verified plugin versions are the same. However, I noticed that WPBakery Page Builder on my live site seems corrupt and is missing the "Design Options", "Custom CSS", and "Product License" menu options. Additionally, when I click "Open Design Options" I get an error message "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page".

I tried completely deleting the WPBakery Page Builder plugin and reinstalling it, but the problems persist. As my troubleshooting has isolated nearly everything else I am suspicious these oddities with WPBakery Page Builder are the cause of the specialty search not working on my live site.

Please advise how I can completely remove the plugin and reinstall it so it's fully functional. I believe this will fix my problem.

    Hi there,

I have checked your site and plugins and you are using the latest version of WPBakery Page Builder, the reason why you don't see the "Product license" under the WPbakery tab is because Kalium theme deactivates it since it comes for free within the theme package, even if the full plugin is included they are trying to sell more copies for users who are confused and think they do not have the full version of the plugin, here you can read more about WPBakery Page Builder.

The problem at the bottom of the page is not theme or plugin related, there seems to be a problem with the RAW HTML you are using, and it seems that some div's are not closed properly, I wanted to check if that's the real issue as it seems but for that I will need also the login credentials of your test site so I can compare both of them.

    Hi there,

I am really sorry for the problem the plugin updates may have caused to your site but the problem is not only related to WPBakery Page Builder as you are assuming. Other plugins may also interfere with your current plugins and can cause these kind of issues.

In your test site you are using the latest version of WPBakery PB (6.7) while the theme version you are using is very old (2.9.2.) which has been released more than 2 years ago and the version of WPBakery Page Builder compatible to that version was 6.0.5 so using the latest WPBakery version while the theme is on a very old version is not the right way to set up the site, and that is the reason why these "Product activation" tab and other tabs are showing because there is a mismatch of plugin and theme version.

Now that I have checked your test site and wanted to check both sites, the credentials on your live site are not working anymore. Can you please check them again so I can have access at both sites in the same time.

    Best regards,
    Laborator Team

    Hi Art,

While I appreciate your attempt to help you've only caused more problems so I'm going to ask you to close the ticket and I'll figure something else out. I am speechless after I made it very clear not to upgrade any plugins as they're on specific versions for a reason since they break things when being upgraded why you would then go and do the exact same thing I told you not to do on the test site. I just looked at that again and you upgraded all the plugins exactly what I told you not to do. I now have to restore that site from a backup just like I had to do with the live site. You have now wasted 5 hours of my time fixing your mistakes so no, I will not be giving you access to the live site to screw that up again. In the future, please read peoples replies and if they have instructions such as "dont upgrade any plugins please" try to follow those instructions.
