I discovered how the "events" page didn't match the one I created. This oddity occurs if you visit the link "mydomain/events/". But when I change the permalink to something else, eg "mydomain/our-events/, then the page will match. But strangely, the page "mydomain/events/" is still there.
That's because custom post types such as portfolio which in your case is events will create an automatic archive page which cannot be deleted, so depending on the permalink you set in Theme Options for event items it will create the archive page based on that:
So if you create a page with the same slugĀ events the default auto-generated archive page will overwrite it, so the best idea is naming the slug differently as you have doneĀ our-events.

Can I get an explanation for this?
Thanks!Hi Rahmat,
