Hello! I just purchased your theme a week ago, and are very happy with it overall. But do have a question. I found the option to have a custom query for my portfolio page, and would love to use it to show recent work and exclude items (in the archives category) on my portfolio page. However, if I do this, the archive category also won't show up in my top menu. Is this possible? To show the category in the menu, but not in the overview? I hope this makes sense. Thank you
Since your site is not visible due to the maintenance mode I could not view it live, but what you have requested is not possible since the categories will show or hide depending on the number of items, the first suggestion that comes in my mind is to create a blank portfolio item but that would break the portfolio grid.

I would like to add about 10'ish portfolio items to an archive category, not showing on my portfolio grid by default. So with the query I can do that. Problem is, who do i get to view them? So ideally I would want the catgory "archive" show in the portfolio menu on top (next to all other categories) but not on the grid. Only when I select it from the menu. Does this make sense? If you need to view the site, I am almost finished an can put it live. Thank you!
I talked with the team about this option to see if it possible to achieve this and to check if there is a feature that I don't know about it but from our discussion I can say that this option is not possible in the theme, you cannot exclude the items from showing in "All" but keep it only in the category filter.

Only question remains, if I hide items on my front-portofolio-page and they don't show in the category menu... how am I able to see/select them? I guess, if you do a custom query, they are just hidden everywhere, if not selected for the query? You can't access or show them in any way. regards Nora
I am not sure if I understand your last question properly but if you create a custom query and exclude a specific category in that query then it won't show at all in that portfolio.
