Failed to Import Bookstore Demo Template

    Dear Support Team,

We were trying to import the demo template titled "Bookstore". Although we have all the wrx permission to all the directories and subdirectories where the WordPress site is hosted, the following error is coming up each time when we try to import the demo.

    "File System Cannot be initialized".

We installed the plug-ins separately. Even after that, importing the child themes along with its pages and other functionality is not working. We also tried the manual import method using XML and JSON as well.

    Could you help?

Attaching a screenshot as well for your reference.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Matruvani Web Team

    Hi Matruvani,

1— Does your WordPress site asks you for FTP credentials when you want to install a plugin on your site? If yes, then this could have created this problem for you.

    If not:

2— Please send me your WordPress and FTP credentials, because I need to login to your site and test this.

To include your credentials click the Insert Credentials button in the editor toolbar (see how) so your reply will be private.

    Thanks!

    Hi Matruvani,

You will need to disable this feature to be able to install plugins:

    https://support.cloudways.com/how-to-resolve-wordpress-asking-for-ftp-credentials-error/

    https://uk.godaddy.com/help/fix-the-ftp-popup-in-wordpress-19516

For more info you can contact your hosting provider too.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ylli,

Yes, I was able to import the demo theme now. But it doesn't look exactly like that in the demo. It looks rather weird. How could that be possible? I have created another ticket for this by the way.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Matruvani Team

    Hi Matruvani,

Happy to hear that you solved the problem with plugins now.

    As for your next question:

It seems that you have installed two demos Fashion and Bookstore as I can see and that’s why content is mixed up.

If you haven’t started yet to create your site, you can reset your WordPress installation by using this plugin WordPress Reset (By WebFactory Ltd) and then activate the theme and try to install only the Bookstore demo again.

    Thanks!

    Dear Ylli,

Thanks for your reply. Yes. I used the WordPress Reset plugin and activated the Bookstore demo again. Now the header menus are loading correctly.

But why is this imported website look way different than what is shown on the live preview?

    Attaching two screenshots to compare.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Akhil,

Themes do not contain the images that we use on our previews because those images are copyrighted and theme authors can't re-distribute them to their clients.

We actually wrote about this on our item page:

Image Credits: The sample images viewed in the live preview are for demo purposes only and are not included with your purchase. They’re replaced with sample images so you can easily replace the images with yours.

    Screenshoot:

    (view on new page)

This is not only our policy, but this is not allowed by Envato and all the theme authors use sample images on demo-contents so users will have it easier to change with their images and content.

    Thanks!

    Dear Ylli ,

Thank you. I get it now.

    Thanks for clarifying.
