I've noticed on my home page under "Blog" the images basically looked smushed. The quality also isn't as good.
This is only on the home page when you scroll down. If I actually go to the blog section, the image is fine. I've attached images so you can see the difference. I haven't changed anything recently. I checked WP-Optimize and checked the images settings. I'm guessing it has something to do with the site optimization plugins I'm using, but I can't figure out what's causing it.

That's because on the homepage in the Blog Posts area the Image Size was set to 300x300 so I have removed the image size completely:
