What does the general field correspond to?
If the general field relates to desktop screens, does it mean that, with the change introduced, the system will directly adapt the font size for the other screens (based on this new information)? Is that the function of the general field?

2— If you put a font size in the General area it will be valid for all screen sizes (this is the default option that most of the people use).
If you want to be specific and add different sizes for each device then you can change the font sizes for the General (PC) Desktop, Tablet and Mobile (example).
