For the supplied media I'm seeing photo file sizes of 640 px. I'm guessing that is the recommended size for speed loading. However in Lupa(carousal) at large size, the quality looks terrible. What's the way forward to showcase photography whilst keeping site performance, thanks.
There is no recommended specific size for images throughout the site but it is recommended you use the double size of images that are shown in your site because of retina display devices to show in high quality, make sure you compress your images with services such as TinyPNG before uploading them, this way you will have smaller images with almost the same image quality.
