I'm new to all of this so I apologize up front... I'm trying to get a broad overview of the relationships between portfolio item and portfolio pages...Do portfolio pages hold portfolio items like a gallery/images?
I see how to create both, but how do I populate a portfolio page with portfolio items? Is there an easier way? I'm essentially build a bunch of photo galleries and if every photo has to be its own item, there will be 100's
I feel like I am missing something basic. Can you point me to a doc?
You're right the portfolio pages will hold portfolio items as this is the hierarchy, to populate them you have to create portfolio items one by one, or if you want an easier way you can use the Duplicate Post plugin to duplicate the items and you don't have to repeat the same steps every time. Do not forget adding featured images to each post item because otherwise they won't show.
