    When loading the page referenced above, I noticed that the CSS animations won't work from my desktop but will work on my mobile browser. Any ideas why this might be the case?

    Hi,

    I think that this is happening in your desktop because you might have removed animations in your Mac or Windows OS. For more informations please read this article.

    You can see for example in MacOS when you enable the Reduce Motion feature it will disable website animations.
