    Hi,

I have a portfolio with only lightboxes, so there is no need to generate single item pages.

Sadly you'll find in google shortcuts to those ugly undesigned pages: https://www.google.com/search?q=jerome+oliveras

I'd like to not generate those pages, do you know how can I achieve this ?

    Thanks !

    Hi,

That is happening because there is not any description for your categories, you can add one (see example), then google will index them based in your descriptionsmile.png

And if you want to remove them, I think that this has to do with the sitemap, or maybe Yoast SEO plugin can help you in this.

P.S: If you're looking for professional help in this matter, there's always someone available for such tasks on Codeable website. Pricing and timeline are always straightforward there and that's the main reason for recommending those services.

    Have a nice day!

    Thank you for reply.

I already disabled everything using yoast. I guess it will take some time to update on the google side.

So there is no way to simply disable those pages generation ?

    Hi,

Sorry but this is not a theme related question, it is more a SEO specialist question, I think that you can edit sitemaps manually in your Google Search Console but it is normal to take some time so google can re-index your page and show the changes.

    Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you, I'll investigate this deeper.

I thought single item pages where a theme functionnality.

    Happy hollydays.

I just saw you added "SEO" to the ticket title..

But my initial issue isn't an SEO issue.

SEO is a consequence of those pages being uselessly generated.

There souldn't be SEO matters for non needed pages... I don't want them to exist.

Thats why I thought you could have helped me.

    Thanks anyway.

    Hi,

Sorry for the trouble, I changed the title so when other users search for those keywords it correspond better to what they are searching.

    Thanks for your understanding.
