Hi,
We don't have this issue on our theme, and portfolios should work for you too too .So i performed this test:
and I found out that the problem was happening because of this plugin "Post and Page Builder".
When this plugin is disabled your portfolio project show as it should

Hi thats great but now the project links just click through to portfolio and you cant get to the actual project
