I am working for a client on upgrading his wordpress website and updated to the latest version of WP a few days ago. We found the Kalium theme and liked what it could do so my client purchased it.
When I uploaded the Kalium zip file in the WP dashboard, I received a message that the installation of the theme was successful. I see the Kalium theme in the appearance tab as normal, like other themes.
The current site is using a different theme and we need to keep the current site public while I work on the new site, so my plan is to use a WP cloning plugin to create a dev/staging clone of WP so I can build the new site in Kalium behind the scenes. I wanted to test a demo of Kalium before getting to work on creating a WP clone, etc. so I clicked on the 'Live Preview' button in the appearance panel, and unfortunately ran into a 'fatal error' - see the attached image.
This error leads me to believe that somehow the theme didn't install correctly after all? I am really unsure as to what's going on, and this is posing as a massive roadblock in the site's production, and I don't feel comfortable moving forward with the WP cloning, etc. since it looks like the theme isn't actually working/installed properly.
Has anyone ran into this issue before? I don't have permission to share the site credentials unfortunately, but any help you might be able to offer to fix this would be great. Thanks so much for your help.
Nevermind, sorry for the confusion - this issue turns out to not have anything to do with Kalium, but is instead an issue with the Yoast plugin being out of date. After updating the SEO plugin, the issue at hand seems to be resolved.
