Insecure Font Issue for Moving to SSL

I'm working to make my site secured with SSL.

I've set up an SSL certificate on my hosting site (cpanel). Before I set up the redirect changes to push my traffic to https, my tests show that there are font issues on https version of my site.

The font issue is with Function Pro font used in the page, which I got from using the Kalium theme & Laborator.

My browser console is showing the security warning that the stylesheet with the font is unsecured. So, the it is preventing the font from being used.

After researching online, I believe I see where the issue is on my site. Looking at the page source in the browser, I see in my page head there is a stylesheet link (on line 49) where the link to the font is pointed to the unsecured http address.

I'm having trouble finding how to fix the issue to get the site to use the https link for the Function Pro font, or if it is something else that needs to be done to fix the font issue.

Thanks for the help you can offer.

    Hi dscurtiss,

Since you have moved your site from HTTP to HTTPS the fonts files are not updated so here is what you need to do:

Go to Laborator > Typography, then choose any font and click Edit, and go to the end of page and click Save Changes.

This will regenerate font files and with new URL (including https protocol).

If you don't see the change immediately, please hard-refresh your browser (CTRL/CMD+R) because it takes longer to load the changes, as they are saved in browser cache. Another option is to open new private/incognito window and try if it works.

    Arlind,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the fonts are still not updated to https.

I clicked into each of the FunctionPro fonts and saved, but the page still has security errors for the fonts and is not displaying correctly. I did the hard refreshes and I work in incognito/private windows by default.

Should I delete the FunctionPro fonts from the Typography tab and add them back? I have copied the info in the CSS selectors.

Or, is there something else that you recommend?

Update: still haven't solved https issue after the following attempt.

From Typography, I deleted the 2 fonts from the Fonts tab, as well as deleted the font files from the Settings tab. I then added the fonts back by installing the fonts and recreating the CSS selectors.

Unfortunately, I'm still right back where I was. There are still security issues with the fonts that are preventing them from displaying correctly.

    Hi dscurtiss,

Can you please share your WP credentials here, because I need to login to your site and test this issue. Your information is safe here (private) in this thread.

To include your credentials click Insert Credentials button in editor toolbar. (See how)

    Hi dscurtiss,

I saw that your site URL is configured to work in http:

    medium

So I have changed this (since your site supports https and that is better for SEO) so now the font is properly loaded.

    I hope you like it.

    Happy to hear thatsmile.png

    Have a nice day!

P.S: If you like the theme, it would help us a lot if you could give us a five-star rating on Themeforest from your Downloads tab.

A huge thank you from me and Laborator in advance.
