How do i get videos to be playing as the portfolio page loads?

I don't see any video in the link you provided, how are you adding that video that you want to autoplay?

They are displayed here www.soniadeveney.com and www.soniadeveney.com/editorial/

I’m adding them from the page by adding portfolio items and then linking to YouTube or Vimeo

Hi Edward,
It is not possible to set videos instead of Featured Images if you're trying to set a video to each portfolio item and then autoplay it.

Can you confirm - you are saying even if I have no featured image - I cannot have a video appear in a masonry style portfolio page with it autoplaying?

Yes, that is not possible as videos cannot be set as featured instead of images.
