I just installed Kalium on my works wordpress account. I made a backup before and I was hoping I wouldn't need it, but this is what happens at the moment:
I installed kalium and then (I was too fast) installed a demo content pack. The previous theme had portfolio items and when I click on the old theme I still see them in the list, when I'm in Kalium I can't find them anymore, there is just the demo content.
Any idea how to get the list of old portfolio items and activate them in Kalium? They have to be still there, somewhere...
Every theme has different structure how it's build, for example your old theme maybe powered the portfolio by any page builder, our theme uses Advanced Custom Fields PRO and Portfolio Post Type plugin to power the portfolio.
I'm not sure how your old theme handled portfolio but I know that the best way to start with a new theme is if you start from the scratch so the old theme will not interfere with the new one.
Thank you for your answer. Does that mean that I need to create the 60+ portfolio elements in the new portfolio-plugin? Or can I somehow move the previous portfolios over after a fresh install? I checked, the portfolios in the other template lie in the folder (on the left side) "portfolio-items" instead of "portfolio".
Do you have any recommendation for that or if I have to create them again, is there a way to make sure they are transferable next time I change a theme?

Hi arkitektgruppen,

Hi arkitektgruppen,
I'm afraid that this is correct, you need to create those portfolio items again.
As I said earlier, every theme has a different portfolio approach, and there is not a way to transfer portfolios from one theme to another one.
Thanks for your understanding!
Alright, thank you :) Fixed it. Thank you for your help!
I'm glad to hear that
Will set this ticket as solved from here.
