So removing the Wordpress Sample Page summary, does not remove the summary when posting on social media when using coming soon mode. Very frustrating that this is not fixed from out of the box.
When sharing in social networks such as Facebook it will need a title and a description, so it has included the description of that post. If you hide that post description from the page it doesn't mean it will be hidden when sharing in Facebook as that is a completely different part, the descriptions are crawled from the excerpt of the post. For this is the Yoast SEO plugin which you need to install and activate, and after that you'll see these settings below each post:
