You can add a fontawesome icon in this form<i class="fa fa-{icon-name}"></i> where {icon-name} is the icon from font awesome. Collection which can be found here: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/

When you go there you can find your icom (example images below):

Please don't forget to tick 'Custom Links' option:

Then add it to menu item in Appearance > Menus

1. I think that you are trying to add this icon right (see video)? If yes then you just need to add this code:

<i class="fa fa-heart-o"></i>

in the Navigation Label area.

2. There is not an option to add the icon in the search or the cart area for the moment.

1— You can do that by using third-party plugins that are created exclusively for this purpose because Kalium or WooCommerce doesn't offer this option.

2— Client can pay with credit card if clients doesn't have paypal account as you can see in this message
