I purchased the Kalium theme and uploaded the demo site. I would like to customize the site to my liking. The theme instructions mentioned that I would need certain plugins. When I go to use those plugins, the instructions say that in order to activate it I need to purchase the plugin.
How am I supposed to build my site without the plugins that you say I need to build my site? Specifically WPBakery Page builder and Layer Slider
There is a section that talks about:
Premium Font
Revolution Slider
Layer Slider
Product size guide
Woo Commerce
It says: "Total worth $296
Then says: "Get them for FREE!"
If I have to pay for them, how are they free?
Am I missing something?
Could you please explain why it was not made clear on that page that I would have to pay for the plugins. Thank you

WPBakery Page Builder (formerly Visual Composer), Revolution Slider and Layer Slider are premium plugins that Themeforest authors purchase extended licenses of them to be able to include those plugins in the theme for free. So you can use those plugins without any problem to achieve anything that you have seen on our demos with those plugins. Those plugins offers some extra features that are activated only if you purchase a copy a those plugins. Then you get the support for those plugins if you need to support from the author.
We also wrote about this on many pages of our documentation site.

Question#1: What is the point of including the plugins for free when ultimately you have to buy them to use them?
Question#2: Can I use the plugins without purchasing the plugins? If so, how? I have tried to use the WPBakery and Layer Slider plugins but I cannot without buying. I am confused. Please help
Question#3: I have installed the demo content but don't see anything but this ----> (see attachment) when I click on my URL. What is going on?

1— You can use them without any problem. Almost everything page that you see in our demos is build with WPBakery Page Builder plugin, same version as yours.
Every ThemeForest author that offers those plugins for free have the same version of the plugin. And they are basically free because we purchased their Extended license in order to re-distribute those plugins to clients.
2— For sure. What you tried to do that it didn't' worked please?
3— Your demo content is not installed correctly and this probably happened because of your low PHP limits (read more) or maybe you have installed multiple demos and the content is now mixed.
If you want, I can install demo-content of one of Kalium demos for you for free, then you can continue to work in your site without problems.

I finally got the demo site to work and I am using the plugins. However I am having a problem with adding images to the team member section.
When I add the photo (image size is 524x640) the photo ends up very large on the page. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
