I believe I need to add a checkbox to the contact form, stating that the user acknowledged the privacy policy. Same for reviews, checkout and basically every form, where personal data is submitted. Is there a simple way to accomplish this?
Also I would like to know which plugin, if any, is used to build the contact form. I also need to anonymize the IP address and I only found tutorials on this for Contact Form 7 and other popular plugins.
Will you issue a GDPR-related update any time soon?
We will soon come up with a theme update which will be GDPR ready in all parts of the theme, we have already implemented it in two of our themes (Kalium and Oxygen) and now we're implementing it in Aurum but it takes a little bit more time than planned, as it is not only the forms who require GDPR check but also the maps, videos and many other parts of the theme.
Regarding the second question, we use the default theme contact form but you can use also Contact Form 7 as it is the most popular contact form plugin.
