i have several websites running on kalium. but there is a new law in the EU (GDPR) that says that the contact form can´t be used in the "old" way. now the user has to check a box where he has to agree with the general data protection regulation in order to submit the message. will there be such an option or is the kalium contact form useless now? i really don´t want to switch to a third party plugin...

Because I was reading about GDPR from many sources I wanted to discuss it also with you, as you may have some information that I miss. In my knowledge, we should add an option in our contact form for "GDPR user consent text":
Will this be an accepted solution? I also figured out that somebody collects email and phone number and so whatever, so additional consent fields are required, in this case we can add up to 4 user consent fields so users can add their own data collecting consent text (if left blank the checkboxes are not shown).

in normal cases one checkbox is enough. In rare cases a second one would be fine. but as said in most cases one is enough. the text beside the checkbox points to the "privacy statement" of the website. it is a requirement now in Europe that every website must have a link to the privacy statement of the website in the navigation. and there is the whole regulationtext about collecting phone number, the emailadress etc...
one very big benefit would be that the textfield could contain html to add a href-link to the statement.
i.e.:
[ x ] i have read and understood the privacy statement of this website.
Last month I wrote somewhere in the support forum the exact same thing for Aurum. I had an answer telling me it was in the pipeline, I see there's a recent update, but no changes in the contact form. Maybe I'm not looking at the right place.
We are working on Oxygen update for the moment. But we will update Aurum too by the end of the next month.
