    Hi,

I notice that if I use exactly the same media images in the revolution slider and the featured image in portfolio thumbnails for some reason they look different on the screen. The portfolio thumbnail seems to be less bright and clear compared to the slider image on the upper portion of the home page screen.

I have tried changing the featured image in the portfolio using photoshop but I can't get it to match the slider. Is this simply a feature of going through different rendering paths in the theme or is there something I can do to get the images the same?

    Any ideas? Thank you Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

I think that this has to do with the minification of the images on the Wordpress. When you upload an image on the Media area Wordpress automatically creates the image sizes and that the theme needs. In the other hand the Revolution Slider doesn't make this job and places you the original image. But if the image is 6MB for example, it will serve that image and when a visitor visits your site it needs to load the 6MB image. This will drastically decrease the site speed.

    Have a great say!

    Hi Ylli,

Thank you that makes sense, I see that the gallery images are much clearer so I assume they follow the same rendering path as the revolution slider. Is it possible to have a gallery on the home page instead of the portfolio?

    Thanks Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

Can you please try to be very specific about the question and explain it more to us, in this way we can easily understand you and give you the proper answer. Screenshots and links would help.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ylli,

The question is: can I set up the home page without having the portfolio on the lower part of the page? This would be helpful as I will simply use the gallery element which seems to present the media images more clearly. It looks like you have to use the portfolio on the home page.

    Thanks Patrick

    Hi Patrick,

Yes, for sure that this is possible. You just need to click Edit Page and edit your pages from the WPBakery Page Builder area. Example video: https://d.pr/v/N5MtXA

P.S: Please take your time and read Kalium Documentation articles, we have prepared more than 130 articles where you can find very useful informations about your theme.

    Have a great day!
