As it appeared not to be possible to use an iframe link as background, we made a video an uploaded it on youtube. Unfortunatily this one doesn't work with the revolution slider.
1) Is it possible that it doens't work because the version of Rev slider is outdated (this seems to be a probleem that occurs often)
2) I tried a work around by adding the video as a section background. I want to add a semi-transparant overlay by adding a row with a semi-transparant background, but that isn't working.
What's best practice in this case? The goal:
- Show video as background (full width and height) with on top a semi transparant overlay and some text and button.
The best way to use a video with overlay on Revolution Slider is how we have used it in our restaurant, I have exported that slide so you can import it in your site easily and then configure it for your site.
Thanks for your feedback. As the youtube video isn't working on rev slider, this is not an option. A found another solution, but this one is giving a bad result on mobile phones. I don't want to show the video on mobile phones so I adapted the column settings, but now this is giving a lot of blank space on a mobile device. How can I solve this. Further more, one of my rows is not showing on mobile devices. It concerns the "Toepassingen" part. I have no idea how to solve this. Can you help me with these two problems please?
The slider and all the sliders used in our demos (except main demo) are using YouTube or Vimeo videos in the sliders, they work perfectly and even the slider attached here is with YouTube/Vimeo integration, anyway since you want to use any other type of video and hide it on mobile I have added some extra CSS to Custom CSS to hide it:
The only way to do it is through Revolution Slider as using the page builder you have set the row height to full-size and that is why it showed a lot of blank space on mobile phone. I have added the video to your slider and added the slider in your homepage, as you can see it works fine and there is no glitch on it.
P.S. We do not recommend using all these plugins you are using, try to stay away from plugins when you can as they a re causing many errors in your site together with the theme name which seems to have changed.

I tried the css but this is resulting in the video not showing on my desktop/laptop.
Furthermore I still have the problem that one of my rows ("toepassingen) isn't showing on mobile devices.
